Phillip has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who suffer from a wide variety of mental, behavioral, and emotional issues. Phillip uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction methods to create treatment plans custom-tailored for a client or family. Phillip enjoys learning about the entire person in their diverse environments and by working in private practice at the EBCA, local schools, and in adolescent and adult inpatient units, he can see various perspectives of problematic issues. In addition to his current role and career in psychotherapy, Phillip has a unique background in sports and in business, having spent time in Europe playing soccer in his youth, coaching locally, and building a national wine brand. As his clients say, he understands what it is like to be out there in the world: having to perform and attempt to balance all of life’s issues. Phillip’s ultimate goal is to have his clients learn evidence-based methods to dial down their suffering and become their own therapists leaving therapy knowing, “I got this!”
Phillip regularly sits at long silent meditation retreats and is a yoga teacher with over 20 years of practice.
